When the time came to showcase TransAct's new back-of-house operations platform, the idea was to create a space that would allow for customers to have a large area where they could demo the new software as it would be used in the actual back-of-house. This led to a series of spatial concepts that tried to separate people using the demo area as well as people simply browsing the exhibit while still feeling cohesive and inviting. Two concepts were developed–one to emulate a cozier bistro atmosphere with wood surfaces exposed rafters, and one focused on a clean, more advanced aesthetic to emulate the impression of the software itself. The final result was a booth that saw increased traffic as one of the best performing installations in the company's history.
